Melodic Noise is wonderful music to eat ice cream to. When it comes to electronic music, I don’t know flanging from flensing, so I don’t dare make any technical claims about it. It’s mellow enough that you don’t need to pick up any ecstasy, yet engaging enough that you can follow along with the melodies while you work on other things. One exception is Army of Karens which will stir you from your techno-trance with a loud bell and some sinister buzzing. I liked that track quite a bit. Chasing Ghosts features some spooky WoooOOOOoo sounds over a more intense percussion layer and was pretty cool too.
