Grab your raincoat and your rubber boots. Get that umbrella out of storage and blow the dust off. Find the keys to the shelter and kiss your loved ones goodbye. The rains are here, and the rain brings terror and death. If we’re lucky, this will finally be the season that mighty Zeus removes the human plague from this planet with torrential fury. If not, we’ll be forced to live through another tragic year.
The good news is- welcome back to Spud Underground! The debut issue last month took off like a bride’s panties- it was far more popular than I expected. Thanks to all those donors who helped get this started. Starting this month, Spud Underground is now available on Patreon! Details on the back cover. Sign up to get your own copy mailed to you as well as access to cut content. If you can’t afford that, don’t worry- the magazine is still free. You can help by spreading the word and giving copies to everyone you know. If you don’t, they’ll have to get all their music news from Boise Weekly. That’s a terrible thing to do to your friends.
In this issue, we’ve got your usual collection of sarcasm and low-brow humor. We’ve got pictures of my neighbor, who thinks he owns the world. We’ve got stuff from new contributors. We’ve got an interview with a strapping young lad, making the finest pop-punk around. Read it and enjoy it, or I’ll burn your house down.
